Just before sunset on a picture perfect Saturday at the Mansion at Strathmore in Bethesda Maryland, Justin and Brieanne became man and wife. What a vision of love!
So where do I begin? When I met with Brieanne and Justin for the first time I asked, after Biscuit settled down, “how did the two of you meet?” They both smiled while looking at each other and both said…”Match.com”. I was secretly thrilled as there are a lot of Match couples out there whom have found love and I am a big proponent of finding love. A hopeless romantic I suppose but a believer in all things love in the grand scheme of things.
Justin has a smile that is endless, contagious and genuine. Brie has a smile that is endless, contagious and genuine. When they look at each other you can tell their love for one another is self sacrisficing and will sustain them a lifetime of hopes eternal and love everlasting.
As I walked into the room with Brie and her family and friends I am immediately engulfed with emotions of that girlfriend type of love and respect… a mother who is beyond excited to what the day will bring, a quiet nod of approval and admiration from a mother-in-law to be and the care of a little sister who has dreamed of this day for her big sister for a very long time. She took her responsibility seriously and spent the next eight hours or more making sure her big sister’s every need was met by her because that’s what you do when your big sister gets married, right?
As I walked into the room with Justin and his family and friends I was struck by his brother and guy friends who were there for him for the day. They had jokes to tell and made him laugh perhaps forgetting, just for a quick moment, what he was there for because to him it just felt so right…. the natural progression of he and Brie’s relationship was about to take place and so it felt easy to him. No nerves, no hesitation, no second thoughts…. just living in the moment, absorbing it all… the love and laughter between friends.
Thanks Brie and Justin for trusting me with this important day in your lives. You two are indeed a breath of fresh air and I have mad respect for you and your journey as man and wife. May you continue to hold each other and love each other as long as you live. Your wedding was absolutely beautiful!

I was flipping through my iPad early this morning searching for new recipes and was “over the moon” proud when I stumbled upon this beautiful Natural Awakenings Magazine Cover of Tracye. Yes, there is an entire on-line magazine with an article as well…Go check it out here. So proud of Tracye McQuirter who continues to be a trailblazer with a Vegan approach to health.
When I see photos that I have taken on magazines covers, in magazines, on nationally known blogs, on the big screen, in books and such my heart skips a beat and I am humbled beyond measure that I have found a gift within me that I can share with the world. But truth be told, I have to be honest, when I saw this one my first thought was….”How beautiful is she” and then….”Damn…..I took that!!!!” and my heart was doing a happy dance.
Congratulations Tracye, on another beautiful cover. You are truly beautiful on the outside and what I know for sure is that you are truly Beautiful on the inside as well. Now, back to her blog to find dinner…

Today we are excited to be on Aisle Perfect featuring the stunning Elopement of Paige and Simon in Washington DC at the Kennedy Center of the Arts.
This day was put together in about 30 days. Paige and Simon were tired of commuting back and forth to see each other and could not stand the thought of being apart for another year to plan a wedding so they decided to elope. One killer crew was formed and the rest is just a feast for the eyes…. if you ask me…
There were so many special moments that rang out to me on this day. The energy was electric as you can see from the photos but here are a few Special Moments that stick out in my mind… to name just a few…
-Thought we would be able to take a few pictures (first look) in the lobby of the W Hotel since they had a suite there for over 5 days (plus three other rooms for traveling family members) only to be told there was a huge fee that needed to be paid and we Could Not take ANY Pictures there…. We did the first look in their suite then took to the streets and rocked their photos. * had to include this to show how we all bounced back after such a huge disappointment…
-Uber cars were called for transport but after the “First Look” we all decided to just hop in my van and go to the Kennedy Center… I told her to look out the window and pretend it was a limo. It took all of us a moment to stop laughing long enough to take the photos.
– Seeing his parents and God Parents who had flown over from Europe for the occasion was magical.
– That VIEW, at sunset on the Kennedy Center Balcony as they recited their vows as just spectacular!
-Table for just 10 for a wedding reception was just special! The love in that room was palatable…
– Simon surprising Paige with the Star Trek figures was romantic.
Their love story is long. Simon wrote it out to include:
He first laid eyes on Paige at Harvard in 2007. They were officially introduced in 2008. It was his Senior year and he was headed off to Oxford so they corresponded through Facebook until after she graduated in 2010. They became smitten with each other and reunited in 2011 after Paige moved to DC and Simon offered to help her put her furniture from IKEA together. He rode the bus down from Boston to help. He later proposed by writing on the back of his paper bus ticket confirmation… WOW!

Simon wanted just a few items that represented him on this day… Complete with mother board and Star Trek Book… Love it!

What a joy it was capturing this wedding for Travis and Zara. Their Renaissance inspired wedding was carefully designed by the team at Studio Q Designs. The details of this wedding were extraordinary and St Francis Hall, in Washington DC, was the perfect backdrop for the reception. Every detail was purposefully designed and hand made with the utmost attention and care. When the guests started to arrive I quickly realized that they were all dressed according to the theme. Fur, long pearls, head pieces and themed dresses, it was a spectacular sight. I was so honored to be apart of capturing this wedding for Travis and Zara and am positive we will be working together for years to come. #whimsy4life… Welcome!
