I love the hustle and bustle of a wedding day. All of it… makeup, hair, shoes, dresses, suits, bow-ties, ties, boutonnieres, corsages, bouquets etc. It’s truly an exciting time. As I am getting to know the bridesmaids I start the capture of the essentials… dress, shoes, jewelry, bouquets and then go down the road that leads me. In this case, the girls were ready and I was just a little bit shocked. I decided to get their photos as Meghan finished up so we went outside and took photos under the “cigar tree”. The history of the Clark home is fascinating likewise the “name” of the tree outside.
Once Meghan was ready to get into her dress it was hustle time and the pace picked up considerably. I quickly took a few photos of her getting dressed, one outside with the girls then I was off to the church as Dr. Clark reminded everyone that it was TIME!!!
From that point on capturing the photos of John and Meghan’s day was just fun. Their family (Meghan’s endless girl cousins with a sprinke of a college friend) and friends (John’s friends from Austin with a spray of in-laws to be) were such a fun bunch to shoot. They provided me with endless smiles throughout the afternoon and evening and welcomed me in to capture it all. The party began after the formalities at the reception venue, Top Of The Town, and continued well into the night.
John and Meghan, thanks so much for letting me tag along for this ride and trusting me with one of the most important days of your young lives. I enjoyed every minute of your fun filled evening and loved capturing the moments that will truly last you a lifetime. May you continue to be blessed in your relationship and your growing family.
