I have watched Ashaad grow up.   He has always been so polite, quiet, yet sure. Standing tall, proud and astute.  He always spoke but offered nothing else.. his quiet demeanor is charming.   When you get one, the smile he has radiates right through you… it lights up the room.

As we drove to the shoot sight, with cousins in tow, I sought to get a little insight into his personality.  He likes music, respectfully, he turned it down a bit.  He is a good driver, he drove the speed limit.  He is cautious, he did not pick up the cell phone when it rang. He is funny, laughing with his cousins playing the “remember when” game. He is very clear, he will be a neurosurgeon.  Ok.. I got it.. there is nothing like a teenager who knows just what they want in life.  Refreshing and delightful, that’s Ashaad. We had so much fun taking these pictures and his beautiful cousins made it easy for a really relaxed session.  A spread for a magazine, for sure! Which one?
