It was really easy sitting down with Taren and Sidney to discuss their wedding plans and the importance of photography to them. Not only for this occasion but for years to come. Taren asked questions over the phone, via e-mail and now in person and I could not have been happier as she knew what she wanted and why. Likewise, I quickly determined I wanted to be the one to capture this special time in their lives. Quite frankly, I enjoy answering questions about photography, the process and expectations as it allows me to explain to clients what I have learned over the years and how I can bring value to the table. It allows me to offer my opinions and the opportunity to clear up misconceptions. I also get to explain how I take care of my clients…demanding the best from myself as I deliver timeless, emotional, storytelling-type images that are to last a lifetime. I may not be the best photographer in the world but one thing I know for sure. Each and every time I pick up my camera I do my level best to allow my clients personalities to extend thru my lens to the final image.
Taren and Sidney are another adorable couple soon to tie the knot. When we started the session it was clear Taren had done her homework. She had researched what makes for great images and was better off for this advanced preparation. Standing, posing, feet here, chin there, pull him, peek around him, snuggle close… it was perfect and Sidney was not left behind. He quickly fell in and was quite the willing participant. He never balked at a suggestion thus their engagement photos show.. truth, honesty, movement, sincerity and LOVE…. for what I would consider his Dear Heart…. Taren. When they look at each other you can see the all of the former and you know this Ying and Yang will last an eternity. Who is the Ying and who is the Yang? I don’t know yet and I’m not sure it matters… it works, that is what is important…
Taren… Sidney… I had so much fun capturing the simplicity of your love for one another during this very special time in your lives. You are naturals in front of the camera and I look forward to documenting your wedding day in the Spring.
Do you see what I see?… that’s LOVE right there!!!
