Being a part of this wedding was indeed special. It is not everyday that your nephew gets married and asks you to document the wedding. Could I have sat there and watched another photographer capture this moment for them? No!… it is quite simple… NO. I approached this wedding the same as all other weddings although for me, it being a destination wedding made preparations a bit more serious; more about that later. South Florida…. oh how nice!
LaShele and I planned carefully the pictures that were important to her and CJ. They agreed, for many reasons, the first look would be the best option for them as the reception site and the ceremony site were miles apart. The Bride and Groom were both calm and reserved. Eric took pictures of CJ and the guys while I captured the hustle of the girls suite. Just steps away from each other we carefully took our pictures and worked around the property as though the other was not there. It played out like a cool melody and when it was time for them to see each other for the first time “all dressed for their special day” the emotions emoting from CJ and LaShele were unmistakable…
CJ and LaShele… thanks for allowing me to do-what-I-do. Your uncle had a ball as well and has infamously tagged himself with capturing “the best ever” action shot of the day. Every now and then he gets “THE SHOT” and I have to hear it for a couple of days. Somehow, I believe this will go down as though I was not there at all. Heck, we may even have to endure hearing about this shot in the Thanksgiving circle this year. At any rate it will be my pleasure to give him his props as the best “second shooter” one could ever hope for… at least until the turkey and stuffing is put away and the rice pudding, you are now famous for, is all gone.

Making sure he has it all together…
as she as well…
The First look was magical under this huge tree in the front yard. After which, we had time for a few formals…
I love the candid smiles.. the laughter…. love, love…We’ll never tell what made her grin so… it’s our little secret!!!
all smiles as she arrives at the ceremony!
She’s taking it all in as she nears the ceremony site…
“THE SHOT”… love, love, love!!!
off to take advantage of the beautiful grounds at “Flamingo Gardens”
Just gorgeous…..
LaShele and Cj’s colors were green and purple.. the apples holding the table numbers were the perfect compliment! The day was artfully coordinated by Emily of Event Bliss in Southern Florida.
Back at the house we took advantage of the beautiful grounds, water way, and sunset before LaShele changed into her after dress!
OUT TAKE CENTRAL!
Just because CJ loves to act silly and how hard LaShele laughed when she saw these photos, I just had to include a few because after all…it’s all about what you want!!! CJ?…… I have no words!!!
You can tell these guys have been friends for a very long time.. they were all in for CJ but kept the mood light throughout the day with laughter and bouts of comedy!
When I told the group to look around, everyone look in opposite directions, act casual….. CLEARLY my nephew on the right end took my direction a bit to the extreme… I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I saw his head turned all the way around.. what was he thinking…….?
