There are once-in-a-lifetime moments in our lives that are never to be forgotten.  I have done quite a few Birthday shoots but this one has to be one of the most creative and festive shoots to date.  Shelly and I talked for a while before her shoot about what she wanted to do to celebrate this milestone through portraits.  I was floored when she opened her car door and this absolutely beautiful dress was sitting there.  I knew we were about to create something epic and she did not disappoint.  I just love this celebration of life and Shelly showing up for herself at this very special time in her life.  I’m thrilled she chose me to help her usher in this big day!

and because I never want to leave anyone out… after Shelly and I finished her shoot her husband came in and got into the action! Well, I’ve known these two for several years but the way they showed out on this day was awesome. When I saw the pictures later, all I could say was “ok, I see you two”!
